Pupils from Year 8 are joining thousands from across the country to take part in the BBC School News Report Day.
It is a fantastic opportunity to experience the buzz and energy of a newsroom. More than 700 schools will be taking part, creating audio, video and text-based news reports, all on Thursday 11th March. The pupils are responsible for choosing which stories to report on, after receiving training from teachers and BBC experts.
BBC News presenter and former teacher, Huw Edwards, is working on School Report. He said: "Over the years I've run many journalism workshops in schools so I've seen how much fun it can be and how much can be learnt when there are real deadlines, real audiences and real standards to meet.
"I'm involved because I want to give young people the chance to make the news themselves, and I want to share the principles of good journalism."
The pupils will be uploading their work to the web, which anyone can read if you follow the link via the BBC School Report Logo. Check out their efforts from 4pm on March 11th.
